Fleurs!

Sunday morning. Woke up feeling like crap. Aches all round my shoulders, creeping up both ways down my back and up my neck, raking sharp slivered nails behind my eyes. It's only me and the 2-yr old but we'll manage - somehow. 10am someone bangs on the door. I try to ignore them hoping they'll go away and let me curl up in my own little shivering cocoon of misery. Whoever it is keeps up the old bang-bang (we don't have a doorbell).

I get off the couch, telly alive with Chicken Run on its first of many showings that day. Wrench open the door, really pissed off and ready to kill the originator of the bang-bang-bang - to find a bright beautiful bunch of house-warming flowers from the Lee-Thibaults! Fuzzy brain took 2 attempts to find the right bunch of keys to open up, and Kait wrapped both arms around an armful of smiling cheery gerberras (how do you spell that?) How's that for a Sunday morning - thank goodness for the fleurs!

I've been really sick for about a week now, sicker than I've been in a long time. Caught the bug from Kait who was really ill a couple of weeks ago. We share the same bugs, Kait and I. And we also miss the same guy even though this is too often the view we get of him when we are home. It's called 'Working at the Computer'.
