Happy New Year!

And another year wiggles out of its cocoon like a wet baby butterfly. The herald of a new set of 365 days went by like a regular weekend. Even though it wasn't a Saturday nor a Sunday. To be precise, the eve was a Monday spent running around, popping into the office to pick up urgent files, and visiting Mama and the miracle girl. Nina is home! And just in time for the new year too. Mama is Kait's wonderful nanny - a fairy godmother and more! Nina is her daughter who was in a horrific motorcycle accident November last year. Those were some critical and very emotional weeks at the Tan Tock Seng ICU, and even her doctors considered it a 50-50 case. I call her the miracle girl, and her Mama one very special lady.

New Year's was a Tuesday. Half of it was spent at home rushing out a project against pressing deadlines, and the other was spent mouseying around Sim Lim Square checking out the wonderful geek toys that we wish Santa would bring more of. Wondering silently to myself if we were the only sad sods there on new year's day, LO! we bumped into Hong Hua and wife checking out the new year specials on Playstation gadgets. Happy New Year :)
